World Water Day was organized by Central Water Commission, Central Ground Water Board, National Water Development Agency, Water Technology Centre for Eastern Region is association with State Government organizations like Department of Water Resources, Ground Water Survey & Investigation, Orissa Lift Irrigation Corp. , Water and Land Management Institute, Public Health Engineering Department, Rural Water Supply & Sanitation and active participation of Non-Governmental Organizations.

 The booklet on Orissa State Water Policy '2007 was released on the occasion.
